Love Island’s Lorenzo and Julia share relationship update following ‘split’ speculation rumours

What’s going on?

One week on from the Love Island final, winners Lorenzo and Julia have already been dogged by rumours that they have split up. Appearing on today’s instalment of This Morning, the pair said that they were still in a relationship, but they haven’t done much as a couple since the show ended.

Fans have been wondering if Lorenzo and Julia had gone their separate ways due to them not posting anything about each other on social media. Some eagle-eyed fans also noted that they hadn’t been photographed anywhere together.

Paddy McGuinness and Josie Gibson interviewed the pair, alongside finalists Jasmine and Kavan plus Angelista and Simba earlier today. And it wasn’t long before the winners were asked to provide an update on their relationship.

“As we’ve left the villa we’re still in the same place”, Lorenzo explained. “We’re exclusively dating.”

After Julia also said that they are still dating, Lorenzo continued: “Honestly it’s been a crazy few days, and everything just needs to settle down and we’re going to go on some lovely dates.”

While he said that they weren’t in love yet, he did say that he felt like “it’s going that way”, adding: “Feelings are developing. Everything is going in the right direction.”

However, it seems that Julia would like things to go in the right direction a little bit faster.

“Where’s the date? Where’s the date?” she asked him, as everyone burst out laughing and he fumbled to get together an answer.

Lorenzo tried to say that he was planning a rooftop bar date, and joked that they were going to spend their entire £50,000 prize money on it, but she continued to ask him when that was happening.

The pair might have put the rumours that they’ve already split to bed, but after today’s interview, they might have just started new rumours that they could go their separate ways if Lorenzo doesn’t get that date booked soon.
