There’s been a lot going on with the royal family recently, but one of the most pressing topics has been King Charles‘ cancer diagnosis.

Royal insiders and experts have come forward to explain that other members of the royal family have become increasingly ‘concerned’ about his health. Tension and anxiety are reportedly especially high ever since his brother, the ex-Prince Andrew, was arrested last week due to his involvement with Jeffrey Epstein, a situation sources are saying is doing nothing to improve his mental or physical well-being. Read more about what they had to say about the king’s health and his family’s reaction below.

The Royal Family Is Reportedly ‘Extremely Concerned’ About King Charles’ Health

The world was shaken when it was announced that the monarch, King Charles III, was diagnosed with cancer. Although he never revealed exactly what type of cancer he had or what stage he was in initially, the palace noted the discovery was made as he was being treated for an enlarged prostate.

Since then, royal fans, UK citizens, and folks around the world have been rallying behind the 77-year-old, sending messages of support and waiting for him to get better. Fortunately, he did share a few months back that he was scaling back his treatment for positive reasons, but it looks like some recent events, like the former Prince Andrew’s recent arrest, have his family worried that his health could get worse due to stress.

“There is no doubt that the pressures on King Charles, who is suffering from cancer, are intense,” royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams told FOX. “William and Catherine are reportedly extremely concerned about the way the crisis over Andrew Mountbatten Windsor is developing and the effect this is having on the King’s health.”

Experts Say Prince William Is Visibly ‘Stressed’ About His Family

Since the disgraced prince was arrested after years of people suing him and calling him out over his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, potential partaking in his crimes, and was booked on suspicion of misconduct in public office.

Now, Andrew is under investigation, which seems to be affecting not only his older brother but also the rest of the family. More specifically, the future king, Prince William, hinted at the chaos that’s likely going on behind the scenes at the BAFTA awards last weekend.

On the red carpet, someone was recorded asking the father of three if he had seen the emotional and award-nominated drama film, Hamnet, and he responded, “I need to be in quite a calm state, and I am not at the moment.”

For royal experts and reporters, this simple statement hinted at a major rift amongst family members.

“The quote by Prince William not in the right state to watch Hamnet the story of William Shakespeare’s son’s death, is indicative of the stress the Royal family are going through right now, and the physical and mental health of his father King Charles, especially facing the public onslaught of allegations regarding Andrew Mountbatten Windsor,” a royal expert and reporter, Ian Pelham Turner, told the above publication.
