đ˘ Familyâs W0rst Nightmare Comes True in Bali as Son Delivers Heartbreaking Tribute to His Dad
An Australian father of four allegedly attacked while on holiday in Bali has died after a days-long fight for life.
Paul Dougan had been in intensive care for the last 10 days and underwent three surgeries before his son Liam Dougan announced late on Thursday his father had passed away.
âIt wasnât meant to be this way Dad,â Liam wrote on Instagram.
âI will love and remember you for the rest of my life and I will continue to make you proud.
âI am shattered, lost, heartbroken and confused but grateful I ever got to call you my Dad.â

While Dougan was fighting for life in intensive care, his son claimed the Perth dad, known as Rabbit to those close to him, had been the victim of an alleged assault.
Liam believes Australians were behind the alleged attack.
âThis was not an accident. Dad did not simply pass away,â he alleged on Friday.
âThey kicked and beat my dad leaving him in a life-threatening condition, leaving him dead.
âThey are the reason I will never see my dad again. They are the reason my kids one day wonât meet their pop.
âWhy did this happen? Why my dad? Questions that I will never the answer to.â
On Thursday, police visited the Kuta bar where the alleged assault took place almost two weeks ago.
âThey will be found, there will be justice, but none of this will bring dad back,â Liam wrote.
Dougan suffered 10 broken ribs and had to have his spleen removed.

His family made a desperate dash to the popular tourist island to be by Douganâs bedside before his death on Thursday.
An online fundraiser has raised more than $50,000 as of Friday morning to support the family. They had originally planned for Dougan to spend at least another week in intensive care before hoping to fly him home.
The family thanked everyone for the support through the âincredibly difficultâ time.
âYou donât understand how much this means to the Dougan family,â Liam said.
