🚨 SHOCKING PLANE CRASH: Small Aircraft Slams Into Field in Serious Incident as Emergency Crews Race to the Scene
A PLANE has crashed into a wheat field in Essex sparking a major emergency response to the “serious incident”.
Police raced to the scene after a call at 12:30pm said a small aircraft had plummeted into a field near Mill Lane in the village of High Ongar

“This is a serious incident, and we understand it will cause concern in the local community”, said Detective Chief Superintendent Morgan Cronin of Essex Police.
“We are working closely with emergency service partners to respond and ensure the area is safe. There will be a visible police presence as we deal with this incident.”
Horrifying photos show the mangled wreckage of the plane.
Information about casualties has not yet been made public.
The Air Accidents Investigation Branch have launched an investigation into the terrifying accident.
“A team of inspectors are on their way to the accident site”, a spokesperson confirmed.
Police urge residents to avoid Mill Lane and “thank them for their patience and understanding”.
High Ongar is a small village eight miles west of Chelmsford and 30 miles north east of London.
In a post to Facebook, St Mary’s High Ongar said: “We are aware of the incident involving a light aircraft near High Ongar today.
“Please join us in praying for everyone involved, for the emergency services responding, and for all those in our local community who have been affected”.
The closest airbases to the crash site are Stapleford Airfield, around 6 miles away, and North Weald Airfield, around 8 miles away.
Several celebrities have flown from North Weald Airfield and the site offers the opportunity to fly in a WW2 era Spitfire.
