Prince Harry hasn’t seen his father King Charles yet this year, however it is believed a meeting may not be far off. According to reports, Harry and his wife Meghan Markle could be visiting the UK this summer for a one-year countdown event to the 2027 Invictus Games, which will be held in Birmingham.
It is believed that this UK return could give them a chance to catch up with the monarch, who Meghan has not seen for a number of years. It is also believed the event could be an opportunity for the couple to bring their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet to the UK, which would mark their first visit to their father’s home country since 2022. While nothing has yet been confirmed, royal author Ingrid Seward said that she thinks there could be a chance the family could spend time with King Charles and Queen Camilla at Balmoral Castle in Scotland.
This is believed to be an ideal location for an under-the-radar visit.
Seward told The Mirror: “The only place that really I think they could meet if the King is to get to know or at least see his grandchildren, is at Balmoral.
“It’s the only time the King has time and the Sussexes could be accommodated there because there’s lots of cottages on the Estate.”
However, if Harry and Meghan were to spend quality time with the monarch at Balmoral, it is believed Harry would have to do one thing first – sign confidentiality agreements.

Seward said: “They’d (the Firm) probably have to make them sign confidentiality agreements and all kinds of stuff – but Charles doesn’t have to do it, he can sit there looking like the good guy.
“He has a private secretary and other staff to deal with all of the details. They’d have them buttoned up as much as you can button them up.”
Seward also said that if Harry and Meghan were to stay at Balmoral, the King would carefully manage what other royals would be around.
This is because The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have had some tricky relationships with certain royals since quitting royal life in 2020, including with Prince William and Princess Catherine.
