When asked about his feelings regarding the outcome of the case, the radio star expressed a clear conflict of emotions: “Happy with the deal. Rattled that my mum is not well.” Following this brief admission, he quickly departed the scene, offering no further comment.

For long-time fans of Sandilands, his devotion to his 76-year-old mother, Pamela, comes as no surprise. According to documents released this week, ARN has committed to paying Sandilands a total of $12.09 million. The payment schedule is phased: $3 million will be paid in July 2026, with the remainder to be distributed in monthly installments through June 2029. Additionally, the settlement includes a package of advertising services on ARN’s partner platforms, valued at $1.5 million over the next three years.
Reflecting on the agreement, Sandilands remarked: “It means I can get back to work rather than annoying my wife. It’s quite daunting to have that hanging over your head.” He also emphasized his mindset throughout the legal ordeal: “I could’ve dragged it on for like a year and a half. My guys are pretty confident of winning. I don’t care if it’s hugely successful or if it just keep the people that were retrenched employed.”

This settlement resolves one of the two intense legal battles that erupted following the cancellation of the blockbuster The Kyle and Jackie O Show this past February, a decision that followed an on-air explosion between the show’s two stars.
However, legal troubles for ARN are far from over. While Sandilands’ case has reached an amicable resolution, his former co-host, Jackie O’Henderson, continues to pursue her claim of wrongful termination. Henderson is seeking damages of at least $82.25 million, alleging that the termination of her contract violated the Fair Work Act. Her court hearings are scheduled to commence in August, with the primary trial slated to begin in September.
