FROM SH0CK JOCK TO P0LITICAL PLAYER? KYLE SANDILANDS PRAISES PAULINE HANSON AS ‘INSPIRATIONAL’ AND TEASES SURPRISING ONE NATION MOVE

Kyle Sandilands has quietly become one of Pauline Hanson‘s biggest supporters.

The radio star used some of his downtime while waging a court battle with his former employer, ARN, meeting with the One Nation leader in an effort to advance her profile.

The 55-year-old will share the surprising revelation in an upcoming episode of the  Game Changers podcast, which will be released on Friday.

‘I’ve been working on getting their messaging across, which I think has been well received,’ Kyle told the show, as reported by news.com.au on Thursday.

‘She is really a surprise. She’s one of my favourite people now.’

Kyle said that he has introduced the Queensland senator to powerful ‘upper society types’ in his circle who are interested in Hanson’s ‘messaging’, adding with a laugh, ‘Not my gangster friends’.

Sandilands told the podcast that he is ‘loving the orange wave’ and considers Hanson ‘very inspirational.’

‘They’re not what everyone thinks they are… a lunatic racist party of country bumpkins that think that the world should change,’ Sandilands said.

The shock jock has previously described his politics as ‘right of centre’ and has disclosed that he has voted for the Liberal Party.

He additionally called Trump’s 2024 election victory over Kamala Harris a ‘win for everyone’.

Media commentator Andrew Mercado earlier this year predicted that Sandilands would be taking his upcoming podcast, Kyle Sandilands Live, in a political direction.

‘Kyle might not get access to all the A-list celebrities anymore, so don’t be surprised if he goes full MAGA to hook in an American audience to keep those dollars flowing,’ Mercado told Yahoo.

‘There is money in this space if you want to court a right-wing audience,’ he said.

Meanwhile, Sandilands has finally settled his lawsuit with ARN after the cancellation of the Kyle and Jackie O Show in March.

As part of his $12.09million settlement, which was reached on Tuesday, Sandilands will be launching a new, subscription-only podcast.

‘I don’t care if it’s especially successful, or if it just keeps the people that were retrenched employed,’ Sandilands told Seven.

It was previously reported that the radio shock jock would receive $15million over the next three years as part of the agreement.

However, according to an ASX statement released on Wednesday morning, ARN has actually agreed to pay Sandilands $12.09million.

The total payout is a fraction of the sum Sandilands was demanding, with the radio star previously indicating he was owed as much as $85million for the remainder of his massive contract term.

ARN has also agreed to advertise Sandilands’ new independent media project in a $1.5million deal over the next three years.

ARN and Sandilands have also agreed to a net revenue share agreement, under which ARN will receive 19.9 per cent from Sandilands’ new venture for a period of up to three years.

Sandilands is also prevented from dealing with any of ARN’s direct competitors for nine months.

The radio king’s former co-star Jackie ‘O’ Henderson is moving forward with her case against ARN.
