Married At First Sight bride Gia Fleur was left squirming during Tuesday night’s episode after delivering a grovelling public apology to co-star Joel’s teddy bear.

During a heated Couples Retreat, groom Joel Moses, 31, attempted to lighten the mood by bringing out his beloved teddy bear, which Gia had previously mocked him viciously for owning.

‘Excuse me guys, last week at the dinner party Gia had a lot to say. She said I wasn’t a man, she said no masculine man can have a teddy bear,’ Joel told the group, which Gia agreed with.

‘She had a lot of unkind words to say about me and my teddy. Now I think it is her chance to apologise to the man himself, the man we call Teddy.’

Joel was then seen taking out his beloved blue bear from inside his blazer as his co-stars burst into laughter, with one quipping, ‘It is so much worse than I imagined.’

However, Joel was having none of it and bluntly told the group, ‘Don’t talk s**t about Teddy. Gia has an apology to make.’

Fortunately, Gia took it in good spirits and grabbed the beloved bear off Joel and gave it a heartfelt apology.

‘I want to issue a formal apology to Teddy. He is actually way cuter than I thought he was going to be,’ Gia told her co-stars.

‘Teddy, I am really sorry if you felt like s**t over my words. Here’s a booby prize!’

In a shock move, Gia then began rubbing the toy over her bosom as a peace offering to Joel, to the amusement of her co-stars.

The cast were then seen raising their glasses to salute the bear, cheerfully exclaiming, ‘Cheers, Teddy!’

It comes after MAFS intruder bride Juliette Chae embarrassed her husband Joel over his teddy bear during Wednesday’s dinner party.

The experiment was left in shock as the 27-year-old recounted how she had once tucked Joel into bed alongside his beloved stuffed toy on their honeymoon.

Juliette lashed out at her husband, calling him a ‘loser’, saying he had ‘devil eyes’ and insisted his appearance on the show was ‘a performance’.

Joel tried to remain calm as some of the group, including Gia, turned on him over his teddy.

‘I would have cut its head off,’ the controversial bride said.

Turning to an embarrassed Joel, Gia asked, ‘Do you think having a teddy is manly?’

‘She allowed that [teddy] on the honeymoon, grow up, you are in your 30s… and for a woman to respect a man, it requires a masculine energy…’

This comment was Juliette’s opportunity to vent her frustration over her unravelling relationship.

‘What we are trying to say is, I’m not married to a man,’ she said.

Still, others in the experiment were more shocked by Juliette’s attack on Joel during the evening than by any ‘teddy bear confession’.

‘Is that the worst thing in the world for a guy to have, a teddy?’ Rachel Gilmore said in a debrief interview.

Married At First Sight continues Wednesday at 7.30pm on Channel Nine.
