A SECOND TOM SILVAGNI..? – An elite private school graduate and rising young lawyer has gone from living in his parents’ $6 million mansion to a jail cell after being charged with r@pe, child s3xual assault, and allegedly supplying dr*gs to a child.
A former private schoolboy turned hotshot young lawyer has been charged with rape, multiple child sex offences and supplying drugs to a child.
Oska Purcell, 27, was accused of rape last week while already behind bars on remand over 16 charges relating to an underage girl.
The one-time junior commercial litigation lawyer is currently suspended from work.
After graduating from exclusive Cranbrook School and then Macquarie University in 2021, Purcell had worked as a paralegal before scoring a job as a junior solicitor at prestigious Pryor, Tzannes and Wallis.
Purcell’s legal practising certificate, which had been suspended by the NSW Law Society until next week, will remain cancelled.
The rape charge was added to other charges that relate to a girl aged 15 in 2019 when it is alleged she was sexually assaulted and given drugs by Purcell.
Police have charged Purcell with five counts of aggravated sexual assault against a victim aged under 16, two of intentionally sexually touching a child aged between 10 and 16, two counts of intentionally choking, and supplying a small quantity of drugs to a child under 16.
Purcell is also charged with using a carriage service to procure a child under 16 for sex, three counts of having sexual intercourse with a child aged 14 to 16, and one of supplying a prohibited drug.

NSW Police say that the alleged child victim, now in her early twenties, reported her complaint in October last year.
The alleged incidents were investigated by Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command under Strike Force Barrhead.
Purcell had been living with his corporate boss dad at their luxury six-bedroom, four-bathroom home with roof garden before being taken into custody.
Andrew Purcell is executive chairman of Melbana Energy, with decades of experience in the real estate, resources, transport and infrastructure sectors in Australia and overseas.
The Purcell family home has its own private gym, a four-car garage and expansive private terrace.
In a published decision, the Council of the Law Society of NSW confirmed last year that it had suspended the young lawyer’s practising certificate until June 30, 2026, due to him being ‘charged with a number of serious offences’.
His former employer also confirmed last year that Purcell had been temporarily ‘stood down effective immediately’.
