How has the Epstein scandal impacted Royal Family reputation?

What strategy did Renae Smith suggest for the princesses?

Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie were said to have been “tested” by the latest scandal involving their parents, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson. Andrew and Fergie sent more shockwaves around the world after the US Department of Justice released a new tranche of Jeffrey Epstein files last month, which exposed the true nature of their association with the convicted paedophile.

Several documents featured the former Duke and Duchess of York, with many of them raising eyebrows, including a set of pictures showing Andrew on all fours on kneeling over a woman, Fergie asking for money and talking about Eugenie’s “sh*****g weekend” away and other exchanges about alleged meetings at royal residences, as well as Andrew leaking confidential tarde envoy reports to the disgraces US financier. During the latest flurry of revelations, the two princesses kept a low profile, making no statements about their parents and carrying on with their jobs.

Now, a royal expert has weighed in on how “testing” this period of time is for Beatrice and Eugenie, who were said to be in a “tough” place about their parents’ humiliations.

Royal commentator Jennie Bond told the Mirror: “I think there’s a fair bit of sympathy for Beatrice and Eugenie.

“They’ve had to endure scandal after scandal involving their parents over the years.

“And yet, at least until now, they have remained a close-knit family, with a fierce loyalty to one another.”

Ms Bond added: “This, though, must be testing their love and loyalty.

“It must be tough for both young women, especially as their names have been dragged into the whole sordid story several times.”

It comes as a PR expert urged the princesses to keep a low profile and focus on “purpose-led” work if they ever want to overcome the latest scandal.

Renae Smith, founder of PR and branding agency The Atticism, told the Express: “The smartest strategy for Beatrice and Eugenie is to continue building independent identities that are not reactionary to the scandal.

“Calm, consistent, values-driven work over time will protect their reputations far more effectively than any active PR manoeuvre.”

Being mentioned in the Epstein files does not indicate wrongdoing. Andrew and Fergie have not commented on the latest revelations.
