King Charles has reportedly made a decision regarding Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex. The royal pair are set to travel to Australia in a few weeks on what’s being referred to as a “faux royal tour”.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex sent shockwaves around the globe in January 2020 when they declared their intention to step down as senior working royals. At that time, Harry and Meghan expressed their plans to establish a more financially independent life outside of the House of Windsor.
They also conveyed their desire to continue supporting his late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, and to represent the Commonwealth and the realms. However, this did not come to fruition, and instead of serving as part-time working royals, they decided with the Queen’s approval to completely step back.

However, since stepping down and relocating to California, Meghan and Harry have faced criticism for conducting what seem to be royal tours – albeit without any official royal duties. Now, royal expert Ingrid Seward has suggested that the King has reached a decision about his son and daughter-in-law.
Ingrid told TalkTV: “I think they are lucky they were in the Middle East a few weeks ago and they are not there now. They are obviously trying to promote themselves, and they need to keep a high profile in order to make money.
“He’s [Charles] got plenty of other things to worry about. They do what they like up to a point. I think he has got more important things to worry about than what Harry and Meghan are doing at this moment.”

Recent months have been particularly challenging for the King and the House of Windsor. For the first time in centuries, Charles’ brother, the individual formerly known as Prince Andrew, now Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, was taken into custody on his 66th birthday last month.
Authorities arrested Mountbatten-Windsor at his residence on the Sandringham Estate on suspicion of misconduct in public office. Andrew’s association with pedophile Jeffrey Epstein also resulted in him being stripped of all royal titles – including his birthright title of Prince.
When Andrew was arrested, Charles released an unprecedented statement, saying: “I have learned with the deepest concern the news about Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and suspicion of misconduct in public office.
“What now follows is the full, fair and proper process by which this issue is investigated in the appropriate manner and by the appropriate authorities. In this, as I have said before, they have our full and wholehearted support and co-operation.
“Let me state clearly: the law must take its course. As this process continues, it would not be right for me to comment further on this matter. Meanwhile, my family and I will continue in our duty and service to you all.”
During last week’s Commonwealth Day observance, as senior royals gathered for a service at Westminster Abbey, Charles faced demonstrators from the anti-monarchy organization Republic. Protesters displayed placards demanding: “Charles, what did you know?” Both Charles and Queen Camilla have faced persistent heckling during public appearances since Andrew’s arrest.
