TV and film mogul 50 Cent’s time with the Power Universe may be coming to an end with the anticipated spin-off, Power: Legacy.

The rapper, mogul and executive producer recently unveiled a first-look poster for Power: Legacy on Instagram, hinting that the forthcoming installment could be his final chapter in the franchise that reshaped premium cable. The image spotlights Joseph Sikora as Tommy Egan and Michael Rainey Jr. as Tariq St. Patrick — two characters whose journeys have anchored the saga’s evolution.

Jackson’s caption struck a reflective tone. “New heat 🔥 on the way, I think this is gonna be the last spin off then I’m done with the POWER universe,” he wrote.

While he stopped short of confirming a definitive end, the message carries weight. Since debuting Power in 2014 alongside creator Courtney Kemp, 50 Cent has expanded the gritty New York crime drama into a sprawling television empire. The universe now includes multiple spinoffs, each tracing different bloodlines, cities and timelines.

50 Cent Predicts Exit From Power Universe After Power: Legacy

Announced in June 2025, Power: Legacy will mark the sixth entry in the franchise. It follows Power Book II: Ghost and Power Book IV: Force, bringing Tommy and Tariq back to New York. Gary Lennon will serve as showrunner, with a projected 2027 premiere on Starz.

Meanwhile, Power Book III: Raising Kanan is heading into its fifth and final season in 2026, chronicling the early years of Kanan Stark — the ruthless character originally portrayed by Jackson.

Even as one chapter prepares to close, production continues on Power: Origins, which explores the formative years of Ghost and Tommy.

If Legacy becomes the curtain call, 50 Cent’s imprint on television remains undeniable. The Power Universe changed the culture. Whether he exits or not, his influence endures.
