BATON ROUGE, Louisiana – Law enforcement authorities in Baton Rouge have officially issued an alert seeking the public’s assistance in locating a 15-year-old boy who has been missing since late last week, raising significant concerns within the local community.

According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, the missing teenager has been identified as Ja’Derrius Minnieweather. He was last seen by his family on June 5, 2026.

To assist in identification and the ongoing search efforts, police have released the following physical description of the teenager:

Height: Approximately 5 feet tall.

Weight: Just under 100 pounds.

The family has also provided a crucial detail for identification purposes: the jacket seen in the released photograph is the same garment he was wearing at the time he went missing.
