Just hours after the former Prince Andrew was arrested, his older sister, Princess Anne, was visiting a prison.

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was arrested on the morning of Thursday, Feb. 19 — his 66th birthday — at Wood Farm, the home where he is currently staying on King Charles’ Sandringham estate. He was in police custody for about 11 hours before he was photographed leaving the station.

Later in the day, the Princess Royal, 75, continued with her schedule of royal outings, including a visit to HM Prison Leeds, a category B men’s prison, in her role as a patron of the Butler Trust.

The outing was logged in the Court Circular, the official record of the royal family’s engagements. However, no photos from the visit were released.

Similarly, King Charles and Queen Camilla carried on with royal engagements on Feb. 19 despite Andrew’s arrest. The Queen, 78, attended a concert and met with musicians in London, while the King, 77, held audiences at St. James’s Palace and attended a show at London Fashion Week.

While Andrew is the first member of the royal family to be arrested in modern history, he isn’t the only one to find themselves on the wrong side of the law.

In 2002, Anne pleaded guilty to violating the Dangerous Dogs Act after her English bull terrier, Dotty, attacked two children in Windsor Great Park. According to the BBC at the time, the Princess Royal was fined £500 (around $673) and ordered to pay another £500 in compensation. However, Anne was not arrested before being charged.

King Charles was the first member of the royal family to speak out about Andrew’s arrest, issuing a statement released shortly after the news broke.

“I have learned with the deepest concern the news about Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and suspicion of misconduct in public office,” the monarch said. “What now follows is the full, fair and proper process by which this issue is investigated in the appropriate manner and by the appropriate authorities. In this, as I have said before, they have our full and wholehearted support and co-operation.”

“Let me state clearly: the law must take its course,” he continued. “As this process continues, it would not be right for me to comment further on this matter. Meanwhile, my family and I will continue in our duty and service to you all.”
