Love Island star Priya Jaswal has revealed that a string of moments will never air from the series due to her swearing habit.
The series 13 bombshell entered the villa alongside Kavan Murphy and found herself in a series of ill-fated couplings. During her last days in the villa she was building on her friendship couple with Aidan Murphy, and the pair now seem to be going from strength to strength in the outside world.
The duo recently appeared on podcast Punchin’ and were asked to make a confession about something that viewers at home would be totally unaware of. Priya’s answer was definitely unexpected, as she admitted she had repeatedly broken a pretty big rule in place on the show.
“I said the c-word a lot and got told off for is,” she said. “Yeah, I was getting pulled up to the Beach Hut to be like ‘You need to not say this, you need to not say that’. Just like, not being media trained I guess.

“Just a few words were, like the c-word for example, borderline that can’t get aired.” Aidan then jumped in, adding: “I didn’t think they could actually air that on TV. I didn’t think you could say the c-word.”
“So I did that a lot and got told off for it,” Priya continued. “That’s not really that interesting though.”
A 2021 report from broadcasting regulator Ofcom categorised various swear words, with the c-word classed as “highly offensive” and therefore “requiring clear and strong contextual justification” if aired. That same year, ex-Islander Tyler Cruickshank admitted the cast were told the c-word was firmly off-limits.
Priya wasn’t the only Islander who landed herself in hot water with bosses this season. Lorenzo Alessi, who went on to win the series, also found himself pulled for a meeting over his laid-back attitude.

Dumped Islander Ope Sowande, who lasted just under two weeks on the show, revealed that Lorenzo had grown tired of being pulled for chats and outright refused them.
He recounted: “It was the end of the night, I think… who just came in, I can’t remember. One of the girls was like ‘Lorenzo do you wanna go chat?’ and he was like ‘I’m just all chatted out’. And then someone else came and said ‘Lorenzo, you wanna go chat?’ and he goes ‘Ugh’.
“He’s like ‘I don’t want to chat anymore’. It’s late, and it’s the end of the evening but they need people to chat still. He was just ‘I’m all chatted out, I’m not speaking anymore’. He got called straight to the Beach Hut.”
All episodes of Love Island series 13 are now streaming on ITVX.
