Egypt Sherrod and Mike Jackson, Keith Bynum and Evan Thomas and Izzy Battres also announced the alleged cancellation of their HGTV shows this week

Jonathan Knight shocked fans on Wednesday by alleging that HGTV canceled Farmhouse Fixer.
The New Kids on the Block member went on Instagram to make the announcement next to a promotional photo for the show.
“Having the best time doing my residency in Vegas with NKOTB. A lot of you have been asking about the future of Farmhouse Fixer. I am sad to say HGTV has decided not to move forward with another season,” the June 25 post began.
“While I’m still processing the reasons that led to their decision, Kristina and I are so grateful for all your support over the past 3 seasons. Television has been so incredibly fun for us. We are so proud of what we created together and look forward to sharing what’s next for us,” the post continued.
The show followed Knight and his long-time friend and designer Kristina Crestin as they renovate farmhouses in New England.
“The nostalgia, charm and history behind New England farmhouses are a few of the reasons Jonathan Knight loves to restore old homes. With the help of his designer, Kristina Crestin, Jonathan works to keep that history alive by breathing new life into the homes,” a synopsis for the show explains.
The show also spawned a spinoff series, Farmhouse Fixer: Camp Revamp, that aired in 2024 with Knight’s brother and fellow NKOTB singer Jordan Knight. Knight has appeared on the last two seasons of HGTV’s Rock the Block as well.
This is the fourth HGTV show to be allegedly canceled this week.

On Sunday, June 22, partners Keith Bynum and Evan Thomas alleged in a post on Instagram that Bargain Block “may not be” airing for “much longer” on HGTV. The show follows the pair as they restore homes in Detroit for first-time buyers.
“The last six months have been a pretty wild journey. Our entire business and lives have been put through the ringer at the hands of a giant corporation, yet we persist lol,” the post said.
“Though you may not be seeing us for much longer on HGTV, we’re excited that we’ve built such an amazing base of followers and we’re very excited about the future,” the post continued. “Everyone always told us TV is a fickle world and they are very right. Tv is full of a lot of great people but it’s also full of some of the worst people I’ve ever encountered.”
On Tuesday, June 24, Egypt Sherrod and husband Mike Jackson announced that HGTV allegedly canceled their show, Married to Real Estate, after four seasons.
They claimed that they found out the news “after an unforgettable family trip through the Mediterranean.”
“While the chain of events leading up to this is disheartening, we are deeply grateful. Grateful for four incredible seasons. Grateful for our amazing crew and supportive fans. Grateful that our businesses continue to thrive. And most of all-grateful that we are still very much married to real estate (and to each other),” the post continued, noting that they had “more to say” at a later time.
Izzy Does It star Izzy Battres also shared on June 25 that his show “won’t be returning for another season,” in the comments on a recent Instagram post. “But the support, the messages, the love—it’s all meant the world!” he wrote.
In another comment on the same post, Battres shared, “We didn’t get the green light for a second season, but we’re leaving this experience full of gratitude.”
