Tim Conway and Carol Burnett displayed their comedic genius in a hilarious skit about two elderly characters in a shoe store.
The Carol Burnett Show is one of television’s best, most beloved shows. The show featured an all-star, legendary cast and put their extensive comedic talents to work in hilarious, zany and witty sketches.

In the program’s seemingly endless collection of hilarious skits, Tim Conway and Carol Burnett use age as a basis for a seriously hilarious sketch. Tim and Carol play two old characters who, by happenstance, end up in a shoe store alone together.
In the clip posted on YouTube, Tim plays a character who works in a shoe store. Carol is the elderly individual who enters the establishment, hoping to come away with a pair of blue slippers. The results of their interaction are laugh-out-loud funny, to say the least.
The sketch begins with the middle-aged store owner informing Tim that he needs to come out front to watch the store. He will only be gone for one hour. What could go wrong in only 60 minutes? Well, plenty.
Soon after Tim, who looks oddly similar to Albert Einstein, is put in charge of the store, Carol enters the location in a maroon-colored and white-dotted dress. She also sports a pair of huge, prominent false teeth.
At first, Tim mistakes Carol for a mannequin, dusting off her dress, chest and face. Their interaction only goes downhill from that point as the hilarity ensues. Tim cannot figure out how to get Carol’s shoe off. When he’s eventually successful, he fears he’s removed her leg from her body.

Later in the skit, Carol assists Tim with the ladder…kind of, anyway. He’s left dangling, holding on with one hand as Carol sends the ladder crashing into Tim.
But despite their odd interaction, the skit does end on a hilarious but sweet note. Carol and Tim’s characters walk off together, ready to enjoy lunch.
