A man who killed a Melbourne woman Eva Lasrini and then tried to board an overseas flight has pleaded guilty to murder.
Allen Keys, 68, appeared in Melbourne Magistrates Court on Monday on a video link from the city’s remand centre.
He admitted he murdered 53-year-old Lasrini in Little River, between Melbourne and Geelong, on April 1.
The Dandenong woman was reported missing the next day after she did not contact her family as expected.
Her body was found in the vicinity of Little River Road and the Princes Freeway in Little River on April 4.
Mr Keys, who is from Patterson Lakes, in Melbourne’s south, was arrested on April 3 as he tried to board a flight at Melbourne International Airport.
He was arrested and taken into custody on a charge of murder.
At his brief court hearing on Monday morning, Mr Keys only spoke to confirm he pleaded guilty to the murder charge.
He will face a directions hearing at the Victorian Supreme Court on September 28

She was studying English and had posted on social media about being given a great opportunity to learn.
