Daz Dillinger Blasts Snoop Dogg Over ‘W.A.W.G.’ Album Exclusion
*This is not a good look for these two. The latest chapter in West Coast hip-hop’s most personal feud began with Daz Dillinger’s exclusion from producing Tha Dogg Pound’s 2024 comeback album, “W.A.W.G. (We All We Got).” Released under Snoop Dogg’s revived Death Row Records, the album featured Daz as an artist—but not behind the boards.
Daz says Snoop cut secret deals with other producers, keeping a cut of their fees, and blocked him from producing to protect those arrangements. He claims Snoop wanted full control—and more profit—while using Daz only to boost the album’s credibility.
Daz Claims Snoop Stole Trademarks and Publishing Rights
The feud goes far beyond just an album. Daz accuses Snoop of trying to steal his legacy by secretly trademarking “Tha Dogg Pound,” “DPG,” and classic Death Row tracks like those from “Dogg Food.”
Daz alleges that Snoop is positioning the catalog—including Daz’s work—for a billion-dollar sale to Universal Music Group, while using artist royalties to fund Death Row operations without paying rightful contributors.

Social Media Explodes: “Forged Signatures, No Royalties”
Daz took to Instagram and YouTube to air out his frustration, accusing Snoop of forging documents to claim ownership of music and cut him out of future profits.
“Now he wanna f*** me up bizniz wise by tryna steal everything I own that was on Death Row… forged signature & not paying royalties… U a thief… U can’t starve me out I’m independent.”
The posts sparked a wave of support from fans and artists who urged transparency and fair compensation for legacy acts.
Snoop Dogg Responds: “You Broke, Leave Me Alone”
Snoop clapped back with an unfiltered video, pacing in what looked like a private studio. While he didn’t address the forgery or trademark claims, he dismissed Daz as bitter and financially desperate.
“In a minute I’ma f*** you up, cuz! Not physically, but business-wise… You broke as a muthaf***a right now… Leave me the f*** alone.”
The clip quickly went viral, amassing thousands of shares and sparking new memes online.

Family Feud: A History of Loyalty, Then Betrayal
Daz Dillinger and Snoop Dogg go way back. They’re second cousins, linked by blood and Crip roots, and co-founded Tha Dogg Pound in the early ’90s. Daz was a key producer on Snoop’s debut album “Doggystyle” and contributed to Death Row’s signature G-funk sound.
But tensions grew after Snoop left Death Row in 1998, while Daz stayed. Snoop later said in a 2013 interview, “I had to cut out family members,” naming Daz. Their relationship has never fully healed.
Daz Hints at Lawsuit Like His Suge Knight Fight
This isn’t Daz’s first legal battle. In the late ’90s, he successfully sued Suge Knight over unpaid royalties. Now, he’s threatening to do the same to Snoop.
“I sued Suge back in the day. Should I do the same to cuz? It’s all in my name. The publishing numbers don’t change unless lol u a thief.”
Daz insists his name is still on original publishing records and vows not to be bullied into silence.
Fan Reactions: Shock, Nostalgia, and Memes
Fans flooded social media under #SnoopVsDaz, voicing shock and sadness at the family fallout. Many fans remembered their classic work together and lamented how business tore them apart.
“Not the cousins beefing! They gave us G-funk classics.”
“Pay Daz what he’s owed. This ain’t right.”
“Snoop’s too rich to steal. Just make it right.”
The online debate is split—some defend Snoop’s business moves, while others say Daz has every right to fight back.
What’s Next for Snoop, Daz, and Death Row?
Daz says he’s independent and ready to take legal action if needed. If Snoop’s trademarks are valid, things could get tied up in court. A potential $1 billion deal with Universal might also be delayed.
Fans are hoping for a peaceful resolution—maybe even a sit-down with Dre or Warren G—but with emotions running high, the future of this family and business bond remains uncertain.
