DE-ADLY 10PM CRASH: YOUNG WOMAN, 21, NEVER MADE IT HOME — POLICE REVEAL DEVASTATING AFTERMATH AS ANOTHER PASSENGER CLINGS TO LIFE

A young woman has died after two cars collided on the coast of South Australia about 21km from Adelaide.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Barramundi Drive and Lonsdale Road at Hallett Cove at 10pm on Tuesday following reports of a crash.

SA Police were told there had been a collision involving a Nissan station wagon and Subaru sedan.

A passenger in the Nissan, a 21-year-old woman from Hallett Cove, died at the scene.

A second female passenger, 20, was taken to hospital in critical condition.

The driver of the Nissan, a 21-year-old woman from Morphett Vale, and the driver of the Subaru, a 27-year-old man from Aberfoyle Park, were both treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Police temporarily closed roads while investigators examined the scene. The woman’s death is the 73rd life lost on South Australian roads this year.
