Andrew Mountbatten Windsor thinking

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has probably had his worst year yet, and it seems the humiliation is not yet over. Just months ago, the King’s brother was stripped of all his royal titles as a result of scandals surrounding his previous friendship with the late convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein, despite the fact that the former prince has denied all accusations.

Andrew, 65, has also been served an eviction notice on his Royal Lodge home, which he is believed to be set to leave next year. However, if the former Duke of York thought his public humiliation was over, he was wrong. This is because Andrew’s royal downfall has become a Christmas cracker joke and has even been dubbed the most popular joke this year in an annual competition.

This competition is commissioned by the comedy channel U&Gold (formerly Comedy Gold), with the winner decided by the British public.

As reported by The Guardian, the winning joke this year was written by Ben Smith from Chelmsford. The joke was: “Why is Prince Andrew not writing any Christmas books? He hasn’t got any titles!”

Smith has received a top prize for winning the competition, which includes £1,500 towards a holiday.

This was also not the only joke about the former prince to make the top 10 list, with another saying: “What do Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and a snowman have in common? They’re both out in the cold.”

Other jokes this year were aimed at Politicians and Oasis, who held their much-awaited reunion tour.
