MAFS bride Gia reveals she BEGGED to see Scott after moving to his hometown

Gia Fleur and Scott McCristal’s relationship came to a very dramatic end on Married at First Sight Australia.

On Stan’s spin-off show, After The Dinner Party, Scott and Gia both shared their side of the story, though they didn’t appear on the couch together.

During his interview, Scott admitted he was surprised that Gia moved to the Gold Coast, where he lives, despite their break-up, with reports circulating that she had “followed” him there.

In a newly released extended version of her Stan interview, Gia firmly shut down the claims, insisting she did not move there because of Scott – though she admitted to trying to rekindle things with him after her move.

“[I moved] like 30 minutes from Scott, the Gold Coast is small,” she explained.

“Throughout the experiment, I told my daughter we’d move back to the Gold Coast. Her dad lives on the Gold Coast, my ex who I was with for 10 years lives on the Gold Coast.”

Gia said that after things didn’t work out with Scott, she felt it was important to move so her daughter could see her father more, to give her a male role model.

“I didn’t move there for Scott! I moved there because of the ex situation, and because I told my daughter we’d live on the Gold Coast,” she insisted.

However, Gia admitted to “begging” to see Scott when she moved back to the Gold Coast from Melbourne, confirming rumours that she had tried to rekindle things with him, despite their messy break-up.

“I definitely did, yeah, 100%! I did reach out to him, and he did know I was there. I was literally begging to see him because I was still in love with him,” she added.

Are Married At First Sight’s Gia and Scott still together?

Sadly, things have turned sour between Gia and Scott, and she has already gone public with a new partner!

Initially, MAFS bride Domenica Calarco took to TikTok to drop the spoiler that Gia and Scott don’t make it to the end of the experiment.

The Daily Mail then photographed Gia with a brand new partner called Alan, confirming the status of her and Scott’s relationship.

“Navigating the new relationship has been hard, which is why I’ve done no Stan show and minimal press because I can’t keep pretending I’m with Scott when I’m so in love with Alan,” she told the publication.

“It’s hard to be fake and lie, and I don’t want to upset Alan, so we’re just focusing on our real life together.”

What happened to Gia and Scott on MAFS?

Gia and Scott’s relationship came to a dramatic end on MAFS after she quit the Channel Nine show for a second time.

After Gia left the show, Scott watched the controversial “Grass is Greener” task and saw her flirt with her alternate match, leaving him in tears.

He then arrived at the final Dinner Party on Monday, April 6, ready to tell the group the truth about what had happened, but Gia also made a dramatic return for the night.

Gia had told the group that she had returned to Melbourne to be with her daughter, whereas in reality, she stayed in Sydney. She admitted to lying about her location because she had wanted Scott to “chase” her when she left, which she later confessed was “toxic”.

At the Dinner Party, Gia seemingly broke down in tears when she read out a letter to Scott confessing her love and issuing one last plea to make it work.

However, viewers had seen her plotting to “cry” at the table and confess her feelings for Scott in an off-camera chat with Bec, in which she vowed to “out victim” her husband.

In response to her letter, Scott read out his own declaration, accusing Gia of “manipulating” him and “lying” throughout the experiment.

“I have felt throughout this experiment that I’ve tried to be the best man I can for Gia. I have cared deeply for her during our time together, and naturally, my feelings were forming for her,” he said.

“Sadly, though, this was not enough to appease Gia.”

Scott went on to claim she threatened to break up with him on numerous occasions and said he hadn’t shared the truth previously out of “respect” for his relationship with Gia.

“Morally, we aren’t aligned; we hold different values of what a relationship should be,” he continued.

“I can’t be with a woman who, behind my back, claims to the first guy who looks her way, ‘I only date men with money and who will pay for everything,” he added, referring to her flirtatious conversation with her alternative match during the Final Date task.”

“We are a different calibre of people,” he concluded, before pushing his chair over and storming out of the Dinner Party in tears.”
